#1 DAD


Father's Day is just days away and I feel so grateful that I get to cook dinner for my dad tonight as part of my gift to him. I've put together a simple but fun menu to celebrate my #1 DAD.

Father's Day BBQ Menu

Templeton Rye Manhattans w/ chocolate bitters

Smoked Salmon Rillettes w/ blueberry tarragon jam 
Cowgirl Creamery Cheese Board w/ rainier cherries 

Slow Smoked Baby Back Ribs w/ spicy bbq sauce 
Farmers Market Slaw w/ chunky blue cheese dressing 
Heirloom Tomatoes w/ sea salt 

Summer Stonefruit & Homegrown Blueberry Almond Crisp 
w/  Tahitian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 


A Toast to you, Pops!

 Thank you for always pushing us to dream big, be solid, and to never miss a chance to make a first impression. Thank you for being the best mentor, financial advisor, and dinner date on the planet. Thank you for insisting that we always make a contribution. Thank you for teaching us how to throw a football, and swing a golf club, and hit a baseball. Thank you for teaching us that the difficult you can accomplish immediately and the impossible takes just a few minutes longer. Thank you for showing up and and always being there every minute of every day for the past (almost) 29 years. I love you. And lastly, Thank you for never making me order off of the kids menu and always letting me 'help' make dinner even if it required a step stool to reach the counter.
